Located in South Lombok, Indonesia, Segar is a fun reef break that offers up good rights that are a bit more relaxed than other breaks in the area. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef. This is a good spot for practicing turns and manoeuvres.
What are the best surf conditions for Segar?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard, then shortboard, then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will have an odd crew at times (6/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round. Water temps fluctuate between 28 and 25. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
