Located in South Lombok, Indonesia, Inside/Outside Grupuk are a couple reef breaks inside a bay that offer a more relaxed option for those not wanting to risk the heavier barrel spots. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 200 meters over coral reefs. There are two right handers inside the bay as well as an a frame peak. The first right hander is big and jacking. Then comes the mellow peak. Then comes the even mellower inside right.
What are the best surf conditions for Inside/Outside Grupuk?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will generally stay crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the East and Southeast. The best swells are from the South. Something will be working at any tide.
