Located in East Bali, Sri Lanka Bali is a good right hand reef break that offers up a difficult barrel section when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sharp coral bottom. Extremely difficult on the backhand, look to backdoor the peak to get the barrel. Found right in front of Club Med Resort.
What are the best surf conditions for Sri Lanka Bali?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (5/10) and will generally have a crew when working (7/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are massive and from the South and Southwest. Works on a low to mid tide best.
The water temperatures fluctuate between 27 and 29 year round. Boardshorts or a bikini will do the trick all year. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
