Nusa Dua on the East Coast of Bali works great in the wet season from November – February. A wave magnet, the swell is sucked into the deep Lombok straight and funneled into the 2km curving coral reef. Nusa Dua is not necessarily as organized as other Bali spots. Instead, there is a variety of shifty peaks dredging up into thick lipped bowls and long speed wall sections. Choose you waves wisely to avoid unpredictable sections or a punishing paddle back out, especially following the tempting lefts on the inside section. Paying for the boat ride there and back is well worth the savings in paddle strength and effort.
