Located in East Bali, Serangan Island is a quality reef break that offers up good punchy peaks for performance manoeuvres. When the famous west coast spots are all blown to shreds, the West winds will be grooming and offshore here. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a reef covered bottom. Long paddle at high tides, at mid and low walking the reef is the move.
What are the best surf conditions for Serangan Island?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will be packed when working (8/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the Southeast or South. Works on all tides.
