The top of the reef can offer up good tubes in a decent SW swell but surfers will have to pick wisely and negotiate the wide sets and close outs.
The bigger the swell the more it clears the corner and wraps around to a mellower section where most will handle the long wally ride with chance for turns and the odd barrel.
SE winds, the reef here raised after an earthquake so best to wait for a bit of cover!
