Just Dreaming Surf Charters operates around Panaitan Island, West Java, and was the first charter boat in the area. The boat is a 50 ft. cutter rig ketch with air conditioned dormitory style cabins for up to 8 surfers.They specialize in taking their guests to uncrowded perfection every trip. From hollow, powerful rights to perfect left points and secluded reef breaks, your experience is multi-faceted and fantastic.

There are 4-5 Crew members depending upon whether the owner is on board. They have a vast experience and well over 40 years collective experience locating uncrowded perfection in Indonesia. You are in the company of expert lifeguard, fishermen, spear fishermen, free diver, boat mechanics and of course they are skilled surfers too.

Catch yourself a Yellowfin and pass it to the Chef, who will return it as wasabi seasoned sashimi, with a cold Bintang. 3 solid and healthy meals are served daily. As well are provided plenty of snacks and fresh fruits.

The Tender is the Sweet Dream fast boat has a high-powered outboard for surf, fishing, and land transfers. With the fast boat you can check spots ahead of the main boat, and get more surf time in. You can split your group to various wave types if desired, and it is a generally improved safety feature. There are 4 world class reef breaks that are fairly famous – One Palm Point, Apocalypse, Illusions and Napalms. However, there are plenty of dreamy and perfect lesser known spots, from playful and fun to extreme, thick, and barreling. The crew will ensure you are surfing the best waves possible for the entirety of your stay. They know how to put you in your preferred wave type depending on current conditions.

When you are not surfing or simply relaxing other activities include: fishing, spearfishing, snorkeling, cliff jumping, interior island visits and a volcano island are all options.

Surf & season

Indonesia reefs, points, and beachbreaks are in season between April and October, when the Roaring 40s produce constant south-west swells marching across the Indian Ocean. The trade winds blow from the south-east. Although less consistent, there are still quality waves to be had in the off season when the trade winds switch to west.

At Panaitan Island you are guarenteed the best possible waves depending on the conditions and your preference. If there is a consistent ground swell, it is as simple as making your way around the natural horseshoe bay, switching between waves as the wind changes. One Palm, Apocolypse, Illusions, Napalms, Indicators and Pussy’s are all accessible inside the bay. If it is small or windy, the crew will take you to scout surf outside the bay or even on mainland Java. Angels, Croc ‘n’ Rolls, Ranger Station, Ranger’s Rights, as well as many other waves, are found outside the bay.

NOTE: Package DOES NOT include alcohol, however before boarding Just Dreaming, a request can be put in for the amount of cartons of beer you feel your charter will require and the crew will source for you and collect payment afterwards. This is purchased at the local Indonesian price, which you will find is much cheaper than regular Western prices. Spirits can also be purchased of your own accord and brought on board.
NOT INCLUDED, BUT MANDATORY:

Personal travel insurance is mandatory for all travel arrangements and must include unlimited medical cover incorporating medical evacuation. No guests have ever had to use their medical coverage or medical evacuation, however, better to be safe than sorry.
6 months validity on your passport after the date you expect to arrive back in your home country is required. The Indonesian Customs Department will not let you through unless you have more than the minimum 6 months.

Getting there

At Jakarta International Airport, you will meet the Just Dreaming drivers in the Arrivals Hall at Gate 2, in front of Dunkin’ Donuts store. The drivers will then transfer you and your luggage to the awaiting Just Dreaming vans for the leisurely 2 – 3 hour drive south-west from Jakarta to Anyer Harbour.
