Located in West Java, Indonesia, Outside Bombies is an excellent deep water reef break that offers up powerful lefts that are hollow but often shut down. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 100 meters over a rocky reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Outside Bombies?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here when smaller and a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will hardly ever be crowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the South. Works on a low to mid tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures rise to 29 degrees in the summer before dropping to 25 degrees in the winter. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
