Located in West Java, Binangeun is a collection of a few quality reef breaks that generally offer up some good barrels with both lefts and rights available. The waves here are pretty challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over coral reefs. There is a longer and better-sculpted left just to the south of the harbour entrance.
What are the best surf conditions for Binangeun?
Gets good between chest high and triple overhead. There is a range of breaks, anything from a longboard to a shortboard or a step-up will work depending on the break and size. These spots are best suited to intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and might get busy on weekends (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest. Something here will be surfable at any tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures vary between 29 and 25. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
