Located in West Java, Indonesia, Cimaja is a quality right-hand reef break that offers up some great bowls and walls perfect for ripping into as well as the occasional barrel. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock shelf.
What are the best surf conditions for Cimaja?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will get very crowded with regular footers from all over (8/10). The best winds are from the East or Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. In the summer water temperatures rise to 29 degrees before dropping only to 25 in the winter. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
