Located in West Bali, Indonesia, Airport Rights is a good right-hand reef break that offers up long rippable sections for the regular footer stranded among the lefts. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a coral bottom. On bigger swells, it can barrel.
What are the best surf conditions for Airport Rights?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here or a step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get busy but is usually mellow (5/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on a high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. In the summer water temperatures rise to 28 degrees before dropping only to 25 in the winter. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
