Located on Inner Hebrides, Scotland, Graveyards is a decent beach break that offers up some good waves for performance surfing. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a rocky and sandy bottom. Not a beginners wave.
What are the best surf conditions for Graveyards?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and is generally uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest and West. Works best on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 14 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temps drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
