Located in Eastern Spain, Masnou is a fun left jetty break that offers up a long wave perfect for manoeuvres. These waves are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom. Handles any size the Mediterranean can throw at it.
What are the best surf conditions for Masnou?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break very often (3/10) and can get very crowded when the conditions turn on (8/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 25 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
