Located in Eastern Spain, Jucar is a right jetty break that offers up some good performance peaks for manoeuvres. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. There can be lefts on the other side, but they are not as well-shaped or consistent. Can be a little polluted at times.
What are the best surf conditions for Jucar?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here most days due to the steepness of the wave. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here hardly breaks (2/10) and can get a bit busy when it does break (5/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, North, Northeast and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 25 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temps drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
