Located in Eastern Spain, Montgat is an average beach break that offers up some decent sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy o surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Montgat?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard if the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will have a group of hungry Catalans when it is on (7/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 25 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
