Located in Eastern Spain, Los Alamos is not a bad beach break that offers up some short barrels when the conditions are right. The waves here are straightforward to surf well and break for up to 50 meters over a smooth sand bottom. Needs heavy onshores to start working.
What are the best surf conditions for Los Alamos?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard when it starts working. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and is going to be absolutely packed when it does (9/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 25 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
