Located in Eastern Spain, Murcia is a quality left reef break that offers up a steep take-off into a long wall followed by another barrel section. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a rock bottom. Not easy to catch it firing.
What are the best surf conditions for La Mojonera?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here hardly ever breaks (2/10) and will be crowded when it does (7/10). The best wind is from the Northwest. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 25 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures rise to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
