If you sometimes read some surf magazines or websites, you very probably saw some pictures of La Piste VVF. Located in Capbreton, just south of Le Santocha, the spot is famous for its semi-submerged blockhaus and its perfect hollow and fast barrels.
La Piste VVF starts working from 2ft and holds up to 12ft and offers both rights and lefts. It can be surfed at all tides but from low to mid is when the spot shows its full potential. With a NW swell and SE wind, you will get to surf one of the best wave in Europe. But be ready to take some air drops and some gnarly wipeouts when the size reaches head high or plus.
As the spot offers some of the most beautiful waves, it is always crowded with the hungry locals and bodyboarders hunting for some perfect heavy barrels in the shore break. Only experienced surfers and pros should surf La Piste VVF, as perfect as it is nasty.
