La Gravière is a world-class but gnarly beach break, maybe the most famous one in Hossegor. Depending on the banks, this spot sometimes hosts the Quiksilver & Roxy Pro France, World Tour stops, held every year between the end of September and the beginning of October.

This spot offers one of the heaviest barrels, fast and hollow. La Gravière is probably one of the best waves in Europe, but also one of the most technical to surf. The wave works from 3ft and can hold up to 15ft. It breaks very close to the shore and often closes out, which means that wipeouts can be traitorous. It works at all tides but shows it best at low.
