Located in Los Cabos, Mexico, Punta Gaspareno is a fun reef break that lights up on a Northwest swell and delivers powerful surf over a shallow lava reef. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over that shallow rock reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Gaspareno?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. The water temperatures range from 29°C to 21°C (84°F to 70°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
