Located in Los Cabos, Mexico, El Pescadero is named for the town it lies in and is a collection of a beach break and a couple of right-hand reefs. All are of decent but not exceptional quality. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rock or sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for El Pescadero?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. The water temperatures range from 29°C to 21°C (84°F to 70°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
