What are the best surf conditions for San Miguel?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 29 and 27. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
