Located in Northeast Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, La Pared is a decent beach break that offers up rippable sections for all levels of surfer. There is also a longer point style set up with a good left up the beach. The waves here are not challenging to surf, but rip currents can be an issue, breaking for up to 150 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for La Pared?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is very consistent (9/10) and will usually be uncrowded, especially during the mornings (4/10). The best winds are from the South and Southeast. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
