More on Chatarra
Located in Northeast Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Chatarra is one of the premier breaks on the island. The jacking left-hander throws out a massive, fast barrel over shallow, sharp reef. This wave will make you question if you are in Hawaii or some open Pacific reef break. The wave breaks for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a scary reef known for trapping surfers in its caves. Very difficult to get waves here if you are not a local or pro, but no matter, when this spot is good so are many others. Be ready for a circus of cameras and surfers.
What are the best surf conditions for Chatarra?
