Located in Northeast Puerto Rico, Leeward Islands, Kikita Beach is a decent little reef break that offers up some good sections for improvers and beginners alike, both lefts and rights. The waves here are not hard to surf, although the current can be difficult to manage, and break for up to 100 meters over a reef. The main entry is a flat rock in the middle of the beach.
What are the best surf conditions for Kikita Beach?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North, Northeast, and Northwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range between 29 and 26. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
