Located in South West Australia, Windmills is a fun collection of reef breaks made up of rocks and the sand that builds up around them. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and can break for up to 50 meters, providing fun sections for manoeuvres. This is mostly a summertime spot as larger swells can degrade conditions, and the dominant wind in the wintertime is onshore.
What are the best surf conditions for Windmills?
Gets good between waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding your standard shortboard when bigger here. Windmills is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
