Located in Batavia Coast right near Kalbarri, Blue Holes is an excellent rocky reef break with mostly rights. Waves here can be challenging, but provide many opportunities to lay down hacks, carves, and airs. Nearby Jakes is definitely scarier, but the waves here also pack a decent punch.
What are the best surf conditions for Blue Holes?
Gets good between waist-high to triple overhead. We recommend riding your standard shortboard or step up here. Blue Holes is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and you can score uncrowded waves (4/10) although when its on the locals will be out in force. The best winds for Blue Holes are East. The best swell direction is from the South, Southwest and West and the best tide is low to mid.’
