Found in Wales, the United Kingdom, Adventure Parc Snowdonia was one of the first commercially open wave pools in the world. It offers both a left and right that are long and tend to be on the mushier side, although they can get hollow at times. Adventure Parc Snowdonia prides itself on it’s amenities and facilities. There is a massive adventure park (think ziplines etc..), spa, cabins, and hotel rooms all at your disposal when you stay here. On top of that they have a resident professional surf trainer to take you through your waves during your time there. The waves can be turned up or down creating a great environment for all levels of surfer, but take care the bottom is the same at any difficulty level!
East or West winds will be off shore here depending on the direction of the wave. No need to worry about any other factor other than temperature! It will be cold, 4/3 or 5/4 with hood and booties during the winter, but a 3/2 to springsuit in the summer will be alright.
Snowdonia is perhaps the most fairly priced wave pool of the lot (maybe it has something to do with the cold?). Especially if you book in the off season it will be a very economical experience. Rates tend to be around 60 pounds a session which includes access to wetsuit and board rentals.
As mentioned above there are plenty of things to do while you aren’t surfing. Sheck out the other adventure activities on offer or just relax at the spa. Have fun!
