Located in Northern Baja, 3 M’s is a collection of quality reef breaks that serve up barrels both left and right. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom. Watch out for sharks, the canning factory nearby seems to attract them.
What are the best surf conditions for 3M’s?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 31 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best as water temperatures plunge to 16 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
