Located in Northern Baja, Mexico, K-40 is a collection of offshore reefs that offer up some good barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over rocky reefs. Watch out for the carpets of urchins on the rocks, best to bring some booties.
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will get busy on weekends and holidays (5/10).
