Located in Northern Baja off the island of Todos Santos, Killers is a fun big wave reef spot that throws up big, shifty deepwater peaks that break to the right. The waves here are difficult and dangerous to surf, breaking for up to 100 meters over a boulder bottom. Get a boat from Ensenada if you want to tackle this spot.
What are the best surf conditions for Ensenada?
Gets good between double overhead and tow in size. We recommend riding a step-up, gun, or tow board. This break is suitable for advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 31 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 16 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
