Located in Nayarit, Mexico, Stoner’s Point is an excellent right-hand point break that offers up long, beautiful, and rippable walls when the swells arrive. The waves here require skill to surf and break for up to 300 meters over a rock and sand bottom. This is a classic Mexico right point, enjoy!
What are the best surf conditions for Stoner’s Point?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here does not break very often (3/10) and will have a crew when it does break (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. Works best on a low to mid-tide.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 31 degrees. In the winter wear the same as the water temperatures only drop to 22 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
