Located in Mamanucas and Viti Levu, Fiji, Lulu’s Bend is a deep bay that has both a left and right reef break at either end. The breaks here both barrel over shallow coral and have a tendency to shut down at the end. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 50 meters.
What are the best surf conditions for Lulu’s Bend?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will usually be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the North and Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Both work on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini all year. Water temperatures stick between 27 and 24. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
