Located in Mamanucas and Viti Lete, Fiji, Black Rocks is a quality right hand reef break that offers up a zippy but tricky barrel when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 150 meters over a shallow coral bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Black Rocks?
Gets good between chest high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will rarely be crowded (4/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini all year. Water temperatures stick between 27 and 24. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
