Located in the Southeast of Florida, Deerfield Beach is an average pier breaking over a sand bottom. The waves here need a little nursing to ride and break for up to 100 meters providing some soft sections good for longboarding. This spot is best on a weak, peaky wind swell.
What are the best surf conditions for Deerfield Beach?
Gets good from waist-high to head-high. A longboard is the way to go here most days, but a shortboard will work on the occasional bigger days. This break is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here is not consistent (4/10) and is usually quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are offshore from the West. The best swells are wind swells from the East or Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 30 degrees. In winter a springsuit will work in the 22-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
