Located on the East coast of Florida, Commercial Pier is a fun pier setup that breaks over a sand-covered bottom. The waves here require some skill to surf well and break for up to 150 meters. The waves here are very rippable when they are good. Perfect for laying down carves and hacks.
What are the best surf conditions for Commercial Pier?
Gets good from head high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when the waves are smaller and a shortboard when the size arrives. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not consistent (4/10) and is generally crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works best on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 30 degrees. In winter a spring suit is nice to have in the 22-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
