The D’Bora is a premiere surf charter; an 80 foot timber boat traversing the Mentawai Islands. The unique and stylish vessel, boasts all the modern amenities, with a local Indonesian vibe.
The D’Bora commonly organizes 11day/12 nite charters and will depart with a minimum of 6 guests and maximum of 10. With many years combined experience in the Mentawais, the owners have put together the best crew. Joey Melroy is the onboard manager and intrepid guide, taking you to the best spots depending upon wind, tide, and swell.
For your cruise around the Mentawais you can choose from the 16 private berths or the spacious dorm for a more social experience. Your trip is a balance of high adrenaline, action, and stoke; in-between relaxation and recharging your batteries for the next session. In the salon you can chill on the comfortable sofa with TV, DVD, and stereo w/iPod jack. There are 2 bathrooms and perhaps best of all, the large top deck for witnessing magnificent sunsets, enjoying a meal & beer, or star gazing before sleep. The entire interior of the vessel is air conditioned. There are two bathrooms at the back of the boat.
For maneuverability and safeties sake, are two small boats. The 17ft aluminium tender is used for shuttle between breaks, fishing and diving. The other is a rigid hull inflatable for going to and from the waves and beach trips. All first aid and safety gear is kept readily available.
