Located in Simeulue and Banyak Islands, Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, Palau Babi is an excellent right hand reef break that offers up a good rippable wall for rail turns when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Palau Babi?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up here as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
