Located in South Algarve, Portugal, Arrifana is a fantastic right point break that offers up a long tubing ride when the conditions line up. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 200 meters over a shallow rock bottom. Watch out for rips, locals, and urchins.
What are the best surf conditions for Arrifana?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here if smaller and a step up when it starts pumping. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will be crowded when it does (8/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a low to mid-tide best.
