Located in Western Guerrero, Mexico, Playa Linda is a fun river mouth lefthander that offers up some long rippable walls when the conditions line up. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a sand bottom. There’s also some beach break in the area.
What are the best surf conditions for Playa Linda?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, West, and South. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round as water temperatures fluctuate between 30 and 26 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
