Located in Western Guerrero, Mexico, Loma Bonita is a fun stretch of beach break that offers up some hollow peaks. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Loma Bonita?
Gets good between chest-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest. Works best on a mid-tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. The water temperatures range from 30°C to 26°C (86°F to 79°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
