More on Playa Troncones

Located in West Guerrero, Mexico, Playa Troncones is a fun beach break with plenty of rocks to bank up the sand creating some good rippable waves. The surf here is easy to ride and breaks for up to 50 meters over a rock and sand bottom.

What are the best surf conditions for Playa Troncones?

Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and will be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and West. Works on a mid to low-tide best.

We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year-round as water temperatures fluctuate More...
