Located in West Guerrero, Mexico, Barra De Potosi is a quality left point that will offer up good, long rippable sections on the rare days it breaks. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a rock bottom. Super sheltered spot and needs a massive swell to break.
What are the best surf conditions for Barra De Potosi?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller than a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here hardly ever breaks (2/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the South and are massive. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures fluctuate between 26 and 30. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
