Located in New South Wales, Central Coast, Forresters Lefts is an excellent left-hand reef break that offers up a steep barrel into a walling performance section. The waves here are pretty heavy and break for up to 200 meters over a rock and sand bottom. Take care this is not the wave for the inexperienced.
What are the best surf conditions for Forresters Lefts?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (5/10) and will be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the South and big. Works on a mid to low-tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temperatures drop to 16 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
