Soldiers Beach lies just south of the Norah Head and provides a few good surfing options. The Point at the northern end has a nice ledgy left-hander that likes bigger northeasterly swells and doesn’t break that often, while the beaches in front of the clubhouse and further down the beach are pretty easy to surf and can break for up to 100 meters when it gets good, providing fun sections for manoeuvres. At the southern end of the beach, there is also a right-hander off the point, called “sunset”.
Gets good in anything overhead. We recommend riding your standard shortboard, fish or longboard here. Soldiers Beach on the Central Coast is best suited to intermediate to advanced surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and More...
