Located in Southern France, La Torche is a fun beachy that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some excellent sections for manoeuvres and some barrels as well.
What are the best surf conditions for La Torche?
Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get ridiculously crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best for the 10-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
