Located in the South of France, Anse De Pen-Hat is a fun beach break that peels over a sand bottom. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing some good, hollow sections for tube hunters. Castle ruins provide a scenic backdrop for a memorable surf session.
What are the best surf conditions for Anse De Pen-Hat?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and can get quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the east. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best for the 10-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
