Located in Finistere, France, Saint Tugen is a fun beachy that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some deep barrels, especially at lower tides.
What are the best surf conditions for Saint Tugen?
Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here due to the steepness of the wave. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and can get quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. Works best on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best for the 10-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
