Located in Finistere in the South of France, Pointe De Lervily has two right-hand waves that break at this point break setup. Beware there’s a shallow, rocky reef bottom to contend with. The waves here can be difficult to surf, ledgy and fast, breaking for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. Small take-off spot leads to an exacerbation of crowds.
What are the best surf conditions for Pointe De Lervily?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is inconsistent (3/10) and can get insanely crowded (9/10). The best swells come from the Southwest or West. The best winds are from the North. Works best on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best for the 10 degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
