Located in Central Morocco, Haouzia is not a bad beach break that offers up some decent sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. The river mouth can be a bit polluted at times.
What are the best surf conditions for Haouzia?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard if the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temperatures drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
